Acetaminophen is doctor-recommended and generally considered one of the safest things you can give for fevers and for the vast majority of kids that's absolutely true. Most parents give acetaminophen products without a second thought. What we didn't understand is that the way it functions in the body can be problematic for some children on the autism spectrum.
